Revert Spent Points On Order

Reverting Spend Points Feature

The Revert Spend Points feature ensures customers receive back any points they used on an order that later gets canceled, refunded, or tagged with specific conditions. This keeps your loyalty system accurate, fair, and aligned with real order outcomes from Shopify or your ecommerce platform.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to configure the feature, set rules using statuses or tags, and apply exceptions when needed.

Step 1 - Introduction to the Feature

Step 2 - Navigate to the Revert Spend Points Option

Go to Features → Orders to find the Revert Spend Points option in your dashboard.

Step 3 - Review Status & Revert Settings

You’ll see the feature is already enabled. From here you can:

• Enable or disable the feature

• Configure Revert Settings, which allow points to be returned to a customer’s wallet based on order status or tags synced from Shopify (or your platform)

💡 Tip: Keep this feature enabled to prevent customers from losing points unfairly during canceled or reversed orders.

Step 4 - Configure Revert Conditions

Revert spent coins when specific statuses occur.

Example:

• A customer buys a ₹1,000 product

• Uses 200 coins

• The order gets cancelled

Step 5 - Add Tags or Use Skip Revert

Specify a tag that should trigger the coin reversal.

You’ll also see a Skip Revert option:

• Use this when you don’t want coins to be returned for certain orders

• Add the tag here to exclude those orders

💡 Example:

Skip reverting coins for “final sale” or “store credit exchanged” scenarios.

Step 6 - Apply Exceptions & Save

**Step 7 - Feature Ready for Use **

Your Revert Spend Points feature is now fully enabled and operational. Points will automatically revert based on your configured statuses and tags.!

Great job! 🎉 You’ve successfully set up and activated the Revert Spend Points feature. Now your loyalty program will:

✅ Automatically return spent coins when orders are canceled or invalid

✅ Use Shopify statuses or tags for precise control

✅ Allow exceptions using Skip Revert

✅ Keep customer wallets accurate and fair
