Welcome to the Advanced Referral Program Settings guide! 🌟

This setup allows you to collect contact information (either an email address or a phone number) from the referred friend — adding validation, personalization, and control to your referral program.

Unlike the basic setup, where referrals were frictionless, this version gives you more verification and customization options — ensuring higher-quality leads and more reliable tracking.

Step 1 -Overview of Advanced Referral Settings

Step 3 - Review Current Status and Rules


Here, you’ll see your existing referral configuration and earning rules.

We’ll now adjust these to collect information from referred friends.

Step 4 - Enable Contact Collection



Step 5 - Select “Email Address” Option


For this example, select Email Address as the required field.

You can choose Phone Number instead if that suits your brand or region better.

đź’ˇ Tip: Requiring an email helps you personalize communication and send automated onboarding messages.



Step 6 - Choose When to Reward the Referrer


Define when the referring customer receives their reward based on the friend’s order status.

Available options include:

• 🛒 Order Paid

• ✅ Order Completed

• 📦 Order Delivered



Step 7 - Add Conditional Reward Triggers


You can add conditions to trigger rewards only under specific scenarios.

Click the Add Tag Condition box to define when a reward should apply — for example, only when the order is marked “Delivered.”



Step 8 - Input Tag Conditions


Enter your desired tag name (e.g., Delivered or Completed) in the provided field.

This tag ensures only qualified orders trigger the reward.



Step 9 - Define Conditional Logic


Choose whether the system should:

• Trigger rewards when any one condition is met, or

• Require all conditions (status + tag) to be fulfilled.



Step 10 - Understand Combined Conditions


If both are selected, the customer will only receive the reward when:

• The order meets the status criteria (e.g., Delivered), and

• The specific tag condition is satisfied.



Step 11 - Optional – Leave Blank for Simplicity



Step 12 - Save Your Advanced Settings



Step 13 - Wait and Verify



Step 14 - Preview on Storefront



Step 15 - Experience the New Referral Flow


When a friend opens the shared referral link, they’ll be redirected to a landing page where they’ll:

  1. Enter their name and email address (or phone number).
  2. Claim their discount coupon instantly.
