Loyalty Rewards Configuration Process
This guide outlines the step-by-step process for configuring Loyalty and Rewards programs in Nector Dashboard. It covers setting up earning rules, managing various reward types (loyalty points, referrals, reviews), and configuring special rewards like birthdays and social media engagement.
Following these steps ensures your loyalty system effectively incentivizes customers, encouraging long-term engagement and brand loyalty.
Step 1 - Access the Program

Step 2 - View Earning Rules
In the left-hand menu, you’ll find all existing earning rules displayed under their respective categories.

Step 3 - Navigate the Main Screen
The main screen is divided into three key sections:
• Loyalty
• Referral
• Reviews

Step 4 - Understand Reward Categories
• Loyalty Rewards: Given for actions like signing up, following on social media, sharing milestones, or frequent purchases.
• Referral Rewards: Offered when customers successfully refer others.
• Review Rewards: Granted when customers leave feedback or product reviews.

Step 5 - Explore Loyalty Rules

Step 6 - Review Existing Rules Before Adding New Ones
Before creating new rewards (e.g., Sign up or social media), review existing configurations.
For instance, the Sign-Up Reward grants coins to customers upon registration.

Step 7 - Configure the Sign-Up Reward

Step 8 - Choose Display Options
Decide how the reward will appear:
• In the “Ways to Earn” section, Then, proceed to Content Settings.

Step 9 - Customize Content Settings
Define how the reward appears to customers — include its title, description, and coin value.

Step 10 - Adjust Position, title and description

Step 11 - Set Reward Frequency

Step 12 - Save and Preview
Click Save after configuring the settings.
Your reward setup will now be visible in the front-end display. It can take upto 5 mins to reflect on your store.

Step 13 - Widget Display
On your website, the loyalty widget will automatically reflect the configured rewards.

Step 14 - Display Rewards - View Sign-Up Reward
Under “Ways to Earn”, the widget lists all configured rewards — such as writing reviews or referring friends. When a customer clicks the sign-up reward, a message appears confirming they can earn 100 points upon registration.

Step 15 - Explore Order Placement Rewards
Set up recurring Order Placement Rewards that customers earn each time they place an order.

Step 16 - Align Rewards with Brand Value
Adjust reward amounts and conditions to reflect your brand’s values and profitability goals.

Step 17 - Understand Order Reward Categories
Order-based rewards are classified into:
• Prepaid Orders
• Cash-on-Delivery (COD) Orders
Each type can have distinct earning rules.

Choose how multiple conditions are evaluated — use “Both” or “Any one” based on your business logic. This means whether only basis a status rewards should be given or a tag also should be considered.

Step 23 - Apply Tag-Based Reward Conditions
Assign rewards based on specific tags (like “Online Purchase” or “Festive Sale”) for refined targeting.

Step 24 - Configure Maximum Reward Points

Step 25 - Apply Product-Specific Restrictions
Restrict rewards for certain product categories or campaign-based sales if necessary.

Step 26 - Exclude Specific Products
Exclude heavily discounted products from earning points to avoid stacking offers.

Step 27 - Add Additional Exclusions
Use tags to exclude certain items automatically, ensuring clean reward logic.

Step 28 - Skip Rewards for Specific UTMs
Prevent rewards from being applied to specific sales sources UTMs.

Step 29 - Delay Reward Disbursement
For specific channels, delay rewards until conditions like return windows are met for example, offline stores.

Step 30 - Save Prepaid Order Settings

Summarize and verify your active configurations — including sign-up and order-based rewards.

Birthday rewards can take multiple forms: Use points as birthday rewards — customers generally value point accumulation over discounts.

Step 34 - Set Birthday Reward
Set 250 coins as a birthday reward.

Step 35 - Set Reward Frequency
Birthday rewards should recur annually, allowing customers to anticipate them each year.

Step 36 - Create Social Media Rewards
Encourage engagement by offering rewards for social media follows or interactions. Choose Reward Type for Social Media
Social media rewards can include:
• Points
• Discounts
• Free shipping
Tip: Points are recommended for easier management and consistency.

Step 37 - Social Media Reward Options
Social media rewards can be points, discounts, or free shipping. Points are recommended.

Step 38 - Configure Social Media Reward Value
Award 50 coins when customers click to follow your social media link (even though direct follow tracking is unavailable).
Note : Customers receive points when they click the link, without knowing the tracking limitations.

Step 39 - Display of Configured Rewards
Review the setup of all rewards and how they appear to customers. Customers can see the widget and the Ways to Earn section on the website.

Step 40 - Reward Display on Rewards Page
Check how all configured rewards appear in the Ways to Earn section and Loyalty Widget on your storefront.
The Nector store example shows current points, earning history, and available rewards.
In the Nector Store, customers can view:
• Current points balance
• Earning history
• Available rewards

Step 41 - Proceed to Redemption Setup
After finalizing earning rules, proceed to Ways to Redeem to configure how customers can use their earned points.
