Freshmarketer Integration

Visit the Freshmarketer Integration You can also find it under Email & WhatsApp Marketing inside the Integrations page.

To enable the integration, you need to choose the primary selector, and get the bundle alias & the API key from your Freshmarketer dashboard.

Primary Selector - This refers to the primary attribute used to map customers between Nector and Freshmarketer. You can choose mobile.

Getting your bundle alias and API key

Login to your Freshmarketer dashboard.
From the left side menu, click on Account Settings link. See below image for reference.

Then search for API here, and then click on API Settings link as shown below.

Next, complete the I am not a robot verification. And you will be able to see your API details.
Copy the API key and the bundle alias on to the nector dashboard.

After entering the details, click on the Initialize button to enable the integration. Once it is enabled, you will see the below view.

Sending Events To Freshmarketer

Events can be sent to Freshmarketer when certain things happen on Nector. You can then setup automations on Freshmarketer, which can be triggered when the event occurs on Nector. For example, when a customer is rewarded with wallet coins, an event can be sent to Freshmarketer, which in turn will trigger an automation that sends an email to the customer.

Visit the Events Page on your Nector dashboard.

As the first step enable the events by toggling the status button on that page. After enabling you will see the below view.

Add new event

Now switch to the Send Events tab and click on the Create button, a popup will open

Now select the event on which you want to notify the external integration, also select the Freshmarketer as the external integration that needs to be notified, and add any filters based on which event sending should be restricted

There are many events supported on nector. If you don't know which to choose, here are the two events that are most relevant and commonly used:

Wallet Coins Rewarded: This event will be sent whenever wallet coins are rewarded on nector.
Coupon Is Created: This event will be sent whenever a customer uses his wallet coins to get a discount/coupon code on nector.

For example,
To send an Wallet Reward Event to a Freshmarketer whenever wallet coins are rewarded to a customer on nector, you would create the event as shown below.

Once you have entered all the details, click on the Create button in the popup.

Events can also be sent for other things like when a new customer is referred, for coin expiry notification, for review request, and more. To learn how to setup these events, look into those respective articles.

For a list of events and the data associated with each event, please refer this article for more info: https://nector.crisp.help/en/article/event-details-sent-to-external-integrations

After you are done setting up events to be sent to Freshmarketer from Nector, you can create automations on Freshmarketer in response to the Events. For this, read the steps below:

Go to your Freshmarketer dashboard. Look for Journeys and click on it.

Click on Create Journey and then Create from scratch to create a new Journey. Enter the desired name of the journey and click Save and next

Also, make sure to tick the "Allow the same visitor or customer to enter this journey multiple times" option.

Drag and Drop "On Shopify Event".

In this example since we have created an event for wallet reward, we will be choosing the "walletreward_create" trigger from the options of "Select custom event". Save it.

Inorder to make the trigger available in your Freshmarketer dashboard, a sample event needs to be sent from nector. This sample event can be sent to Freshmarketer simply by adding some coins to an account on Nector. To reward coins manually refer to this article Manually reward coins to customers

If you would like to create Flows for a separate event, kindly contact the Nector team, by referring here

Drag and Drop "Send Email" and connect it to the previous trigger.

Click on "Choose your email" and then click on "Create Journey Email". In the new page you can select from a list of predefined templates or you can also write your own email from scratch.

After customizing your email and filling the necessary details, click on Publish.

Drag and Drop "Exit Journey" and connect it the previous flow "On Sent".

Finally click on Start Journey and it will be live.
