How to set up the Unused Wallet Points Reminder in Nector

Learn how to set up automated reminders that nudge customers to use their unused wallet points in Nector.

Open the reminder

1. Navigate to https://merchant.nector.io/

2. Click "Features" in the left menu.

3. Click "Reminder Actions" in the left menu.

4. Click "Unused Points Reminder".

Set the reminder timing

5. Under "Reminder Settings", set "Days To Wait" to the number of days after which the first reminder is sent.

Tip: Days To Wait: Days to wait after points are rewarded before sending the reminder. In this example, the first reminder is sent on day 10.

6. Set "Number Of Reminders", "Days Between Follow-Ups" and "Minimum Point Balance", then click "Save".

Tip: Number Of Reminders: How many reminders to send if the customer doesn't redeem their points. This example sends 2.

Tip: Days Between Follow-Ups: Gap in days between each follow-up reminder. For example, if the first reminder goes out on day 10 and this is set to 5, the second reminder goes out on day 15.

Tip: Minimum Point Balance: Only customers with at least this many points are reminded. For example, 300 means customers with fewer than 300 points are skipped, so reminders go only to engaged customers.

Create the notification

7. Click "Create Notification".

8. In the pop-up, click "Send An Email" to send the reminder by email.

Tip: Note: You can also choose "Send Event To An Integration" or "Send A Webhook" to pass this reminder to a marketing tool. This guide uses email.

9. Check the "Email subject", keep "Use Predefined Template" selected, and click "Create".

Preview and customize the email

10. Your "Unused points reminder" now appears in the Notifications list. Click it to preview the message customers will receive.

11. Click "Edit Email Template" to customize the email.

Tip: Unused points reminder: The email that is sent to a customer when an unused points reminder is due.

12. Customize the email in the editor, then click "Save" to finish setting up your reminder.
