Customize the Reward For Placing an Order

Before reading this, make sure you have setup the earning rule for placing an order. If you are unsure about this, refer to this article: https://nector.crisp.help/en/article/loyalty-program-ways-to-earn

On your nector dashboard, go to the Earning Rules tab under Loyalty Settings inside Loyalty Program. Scroll to the Order Placed Reward section and on the right side, click on the Edit button on the left side as shown in the below image.




You will see a page as shown in the image below. Here, you can customize various aspects of order rewards.




For all the below settings, you can optionally define separate rules for prepaid and COD (manual) orders. You can enable the Use different settings for prepaid payments and manual payments option and you will see the below view.

Change How Many Coins To Reward?






In the first section, you can define how many coins to reward for every rupee or dollar spent on the store.

You can specify when to reward which is basically on what order state should the reward should be given

By default Nector gives us 9 different order states

Order Placed
Order Paid
Order Completed
Order Delivered
Order Paid and Completed
Order Paid and Delivered
Order Completed and Delivered
Order Paid and Completed and Delivered
Order has Tags




If you have selected “Order Has Tags” option, then the reward will be given if the order has any of the mentioned tags, irrespective of the order status

Kindly note, if you are relying on order delivery status to reward the customer, make sure the delivery status is updated from the shopify end.

If you want to give separate reward for online vs COD orders, you can do it this way:



After making the changes, click on the Save button on the right side to save your changes

Set The Maximum Coins To Reward



Scroll to the Coin Reward Restriction section.




Here, you can put a cap on the maximum number of coins that can be rewarded to a customer per order.

After making the changes, click on the Save button on the right side to save your changes.

Reward Only On Certain Products or Categories



Scroll to the Reward Only On Certain Product section.




If you only want to reward the customers when they buy specific products or products that belong to specific collection/category, you can set it here.

After making the changes, click on the Save button on the right side to save your changes.

Skip Rewarding On Certain Products



Scroll to the Skip Rewarding On Certain Products section.




Alternative to the above option, if you don't want to give reward for certain products, you can add the products here.

After making the changes, click on the Save button on the right side to save your changes.

Skip Rewarding On Certain Tags



Scroll to the Skip Rewarding On Certain Tags section.




This option will skip rewarding for the entire order if the mentioned tags exist on the order.

If the tag is added to an order after the reward is already disbursed, the reward will not be reverted. If this is the case, look into Revert Earned Coins feature and it's help article at https://nector.crisp.help/en/article/revert-earned-coins

After making the changes, click on the Save button on the right side to save your changes.

Skip Rewarding On Certain UTM Sources



Scroll to the Skip Rewarding On Certain UTM Sources section.




This option will skip rewarding for the entire order if the mentioned utm sources exist on the order.

After making the changes, click on the Save button on the right side to save your changes.

Changing The Content



To change the content that is shown in the Ways to Earn section on the widget or the rewards page, scroll to the Content Settings section to change the content.

After making the changes, click on the Save button on the right side to save your changes.
