Integrating Widgets on Order Status and Thank You Pages




Introduction

Post-purchase engagement is one of the most powerful ways to increase customer retention and satisfaction. By adding interactive widgets—such as referral, points-earned, review, and birthday widgets—to your Order Status and Thank You pages, you give customers more reasons to engage with your brand immediately after completing a purchase.

This guide walks you through configuring and placing these widgets using the Nector Dashboard and Shopify.



Step 1 - Understand the Widgets You Can Add


These widgets can be displayed on order status and thank you pages:

• Referral Widget

• Points Earn Widget

• Write a Review Widget

• Birthday Reward Widget

Each is designed to improve engagement right after a customer places an order.




Step 2 - Configure the Front-End Setup


Start with the Referral Widget and configure how it should appear to customers.




Step 3 - Set Logged-In Content




Step 4 - Set Logged-Out Content


Configure what logged-out users see, including:

• Description

• CTA button

• CTA text






Step 5 - Preview Widget on Order Status Page


This is how customers will see your configured referral widget on the order status page with its description.




Step 6 - Configure Sharing Options


Decide the text customers will share across platforms like WhatsApp or Facebook.





Connect your referral link so customers receive discounts when they share.




Step 8 - Preview How Sharing Looks


This shows the message customers will see when sharing via WhatsApp and Facebook.




Step 9 - Finalize Referral Widget Description


Adjust your final description to ensure clarity and appeal.




Step 10 - Move to Shopify for Widget Placement


Go to Shopify to add the widgets onto your pages.




Step 11 - Important Note


Only the Referral Widget includes customization options. Other widgets have predefined designs.




Step 12 - Widgets Auto-Display on Pages


Widgets automatically show on order status and thank you pages once added. Go to Themes → Customize.




Step 13 - Navigate to Checkout & Customer Accounts


From the left panel, click Home Page → Checkout & Customer Accounts.




Step 14 - Open Order Status Page


Select the Order Status Page to begin adding widgets.




Step 15 - Add Your First Widget


Click Add Block and insert:

• Referral Widget Decide whether to hide it for guest users.




Step 16 - Set Guest Visibility


For now, leave guest visibility as false and go back.




Step 17 - Add Points Earn Widget


Insert the widget showing customers how many points they will earn.





Step 18 - Preview Points Earn Display


Customers can instantly see the reward points associated with their order.




Step 19 - Add Write a Review Widget


After every purchase, prompt customers to review the product(s).




Step 20 - Review Writing Experience


Customers can click to submit a review for their purchased items.




Step 21 - Add Birthday Widget


This allows customers to enter their birthday for reward eligibility.




Step 22 - Save Changes


Click Save. Changes will reflect on the order status page within 5 minutes.




Step 23 - Live Preview


Here’s how your configured widgets appear on the live order status page.





Step 24 - Settings Saved


Your widget setup has now been successfully saved.




Step 25 - Go to Front End with an Order Placed


Open an order status page of an existing order to preview widgets.




Step 26 - View Points Earn Widget


You’ll see the points earn widget displayed on the order screen.




Step 27 - Points Earn Calculation


Review the exact number of points the customer will earn for this order.





Step 28 - Additional Widgets


Above the review widget, you’ll see:

• Birthday widget

• Review widget (“Rate Your Experience”)

• Referral widget





Step 29 - Adjust Widget Placement


Feel free to rearrange widget positions according to your page layout.



Step 30 - Repeat on Thank You Page


Apply the same widget setup for the Thank You Page.



Step 31 - Add Widgets on Thank You Page


Open the Thank You Page in Shopify and add the same widgets.




Step 32 - Customer View on Thank You Page


Customers will see all four widgets on the thank you page. You may reposition them as needed.




Step 33 - Modify as Needed


Review all widgets and adjust settings or placements for a better customer experience. This completes your widget integration.
