Setting Up SMS Notifications

Configuring SMS Triggers Using Nector Dashboard

Introduction

SMS notifications are one of the fastest ways to reach your customers. With Nector’s SMS trigger system, you can automatically notify customers about key events—such as wallet point rewards, referrals, reviews, and more.

This guide walks you through setting up an SMS provider, syncing templates, and creating SMS-based triggers that fire automatically based on customer actions.

Step 1 - Open SMS Communication Settings

Go to your Nector Dashboard → click Communication in the left menu → select Settings.

Step 2 - Access SMS Settings

Inside Settings, click on SMS Settings to begin setting up SMS communication.

Step 3 - Choose an SMS Provider

Nector integrates with Twilio and MTalkz.

Step 6 - Review SMS Settings

All saved configuration details will now be visible in the SMS settings section.

Step 7 - Sync SMS Templates

Go back to the SMS Template section.

Any templates you've created on your SMS platform will now appear after syncing.

💡 Tip: Use clear, concise SMS templates—160 characters or fewer perform best.

Step 8 - Create an SMS Notification Trigger

Navigate to Notification Settings → click Send an SMS to begin creating a notification.

All your synced SMS templates will be listed here.

Step 9 - Select a Template & Trigger

Example: To notify customers about wallet point rewarded events, choose a template like “Hey” from your list.

Step 10 - Choose a Variable Property

Each SMS can include dynamic variables.

Select which field you'd like to send inside the SMS (e.g., username, points, coupon value).

Step 11 - Add Dynamic Personalization

For this example, select username to personalize the message sent to the customer.

This completes the SMS template creation.

**Step 12 - Trigger Successfully Created **

Your SMS trigger is now active and configured.

Step 13 - Automatic SMS Sending

From now on, every time a wallet point reward is issued, this SMS notification will be delivered to the customer.

Step 14 - Configure Additional Triggers

You can set up SMS notifications for multiple events using triggers available in the Nector Dashboard, allowing deeper automation and more personalized customer communication.
