Migrating Product Reviews



Introduction


Migrating product reviews ensures that valuable customer feedback stays connected to the right product—especially when transitioning from an older product version to a newer one, or when consolidating product listings.

This process allows you to seamlessly transfer reviews from one product to another within the Nector Dashboard, ensuring your storefront always reflects relevant and up-to-date customer insights.


Step 1 - Access the Review Migration Tool


To begin the migration process:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard
  2. Select Customers
  3. Click Import and Bulk Update
  4. Locate the Migrate Reviews option



Step 2 - Select Old and New Products


Click Bulk Update to open the migration settings.

Here, choose:

• The existing (old) product you want to migrate reviews from

• The new product you want to migrate reviews to




Step 3 - Start the Migration


After selecting both products, click Bulk Update to begin transferring the reviews.



Step 4 - Receive Confirmation


Once the migration is complete:

• All reviews from the old product will be successfully assigned to the new product

• You will receive a notification email at your admin email address



Step 5 - Check Migration Status


You may also refresh the dashboard to view the updated migration status.
