Merchant Dashboard Role-Based Access
Managing Department-Level Access in the Nector Dashboard
This document explains how brands can configure role-based access for different departments (such as Marketing, Customer Support, and Tech) in the Nector dashboard. You will learn how to define roles with specific permissions and then assign those roles to individual team members so each department only sees the information relevant to them.
Step 1: Open Role Access Settings
Navigate to the Settings section from the left-hand menu.

From there, go to Manage Role Access to configure permissions for different departments.

Step 2: Review Existing Roles for Departments
On the Manage Role Access page, you can see the roles that have already been defined for various departments.

For example, roles may exist for Marketing, Support, Tech, and other teams.
Step 3: Configure Access for the Support Role
If you want to give access to the Support team, first select or review the Support role.

Then configure the specific permissions and features this Support role should have based on what the support team requires.

Once you have finished configuring the access settings, save the role by clicking Create (or the relevant save button).

These permissions are now associated with the Support role.
Step 4: Create Team Members and Assign Roles
Next, go to the section where you can create team members (user accounts) who will use the dashboard.

Add a new member by entering the required details, such as name, email, and any other mandatory fields.

In the same form, choose which role to assign to this team member—for example, select the Support role you created or configured earlier.

After filling in all required information and selecting the role, create the user account.

Step 5: Accessing the Dashboard with Assigned Permissions
The newly created team member can now log in to the Nector dashboard at:
They will only see and access the specific features and information allowed by their assigned role, enabling you to keep tight control over what each department can view and manage.
