Nector offers an event management system for notifying external integrations about various customer-related activities. These activities, or events, can range from rewarding wallet coins to creating coupons, among other actions. Users can configure which events trigger notifications, customize them with filters and specify the external tools that receive these notifications thus providing flexibility in when and how notifications are sent to the customers. Overall, Nector's event communication feature aims to streamline customer engagement by ensuring timely notifications to external platforms. Read here to find the list of current Integrations supported.
Visit the Events Page on your Nector dashboard
As the first step enable the events by toggling the status button on that page. After enabling you will see the below view.
This article assumes you have enabled at least one integration from the integration page on the nector dashboard.
Now switch to the Send Events tab and click on the Create button, a popup will open
Now select the event on which you want to notify the external integration, also select the external integration that needs to be notified, and add any filters based on which event sending should be restricted
There are many events supported on Nector. If you don't know which to choose, here are the two events that are most relevant and commonly used:
Wallet Coins Rewarded: This event will be sent whenever wallet coins are rewarded on nector.
Coupon Is Created: This event will be sent whenever a customer uses his wallet coins to get a discount/coupon code on nector.
For example,
To send an Wallet Reward Event to an Klaviyo whenever wallet coins are rewarded to a customer on nector, you would create the event as shown below.
Once you have entered all the details, click on the Create button in the popup.
Events can also be sent for other things like when a new customer is referred, for coin expiry notification, for review request, and more. To learn how to setup these events, look into those respective articles.
Go to the Events Page on your Nector dashboard
Switch to the Send Events tab and click on the event that you want to edit.
Here, you can change the external tool to which this event needs to be sent, also you add or remove prefix from event name. Once the changes are done, click on the Save button.
You can also send a test event by clicking on Send Test Event.
You can also send test events on mobile, by changing the mode of communication to mobile and entering the test mobile number.
A popup opens, enter the email id where you want to send the test email.
Kindly note, the Email id of customer to whom email has to be sent needs to exist in the Customers database of your store.
You can set certain event restrictions and control when the events will be sent by adding the necessary restrictions on the supported properties.
Understanding the conditions:
Wallet Transaction Types - Send the event only for selected wallet transaction types. Most commonly, "Reward" type is when points are rewarded and "Redeem" type is when points are used by customer.
Wallet Transaction Operations - This will send the event only for selected transaction operations. Ex. when the points are "credited" to or "debited" from a customer's wallet.
Finally click on Save button to update the changes.
The restrictions vary depending on which event you have chosen thus giving you greater flexibility and control over sending mails.

Here, click on the Delete button at the top right area of this page and confirm the action.
