Emails

In this article we will explain the how to create emails for various events on Nector.

Make sure, you have enabled and configured the various email settings. Refer to this article for more information: https://help.nector.io/en/article/email-settings-15qqeeb/

Go to Emails Page.

Switch to Send Emails tab.




Add new Email



Click on the "+" button to create a new email, a popup will open

Now select the event on which you want to send email. There are many emails supported on nector. If you don't know which to choose, here are the two emails that are most relevant and commonly used:

Wallet Coins Rewarded: This email will be sent whenever wallet coins are rewarded on nector.
Coupon Is Created: This email will be sent whenever a customer uses his wallet coins to get a discount/coupon code on nector.

After that enter the Email Subject , finally you get an option to either use a Predefined Template which is also checked by default, or by unchecking it you can create a brand new template.

For example, to send email on Coupon is Created you would create the email as shown below.




If you would like to create a template from scratch, uncheck the option and click on the Design New Template button. A new page opens.




Here you can design your template from scratch by using the different customisations available like buttons, headings, text etc.
You can also add variables in your email template in order to make it more personalised. Click on the available variables to find the list of variables which can be used.




Once you have entered all the details, click on the Save button in the popup.

Emails can also be sent for other things like when a new customer is referred, for coin expiry notification, for review request, and more. To learn how to setup these emails, look into those respective articles.


Edit an email



Go to Emails Page.

Switch to Send Emails tab.

Click on the email that you want to edit.




Here you can update your email subject and also make changes to your email template.

Sending test email


You can also send a test email by clicking on Send Test Email.




A popup opens, enter the email id where you want to send the test email.




Kindly note, the Email id of customer to whom email has to be sent needs to exist in the Customers database of your store.

Email Restrictions


You can set certain email restrictions and control when the emails will be sent by adding the necessary restrictions on the supported properties.




Understanding the conditions:

Coupon Discount Is Greater Than - This will send the email only when the coupon's discount value is greater than or equal to the below value. Ex. send only when discount is greater than ₹50.00
Coupon Discount Is Less Than - This will send the email only when the coupon's discount value is less than or equal to the below value. Ex. send only when discount is less than ₹500.00
Coupon Types - Send the email only for selected types of coupons from the list of coupons available.
Coupon Discount Type - This will send the email only for particular type of discount (Fixed discount or percentage discount). It is recommended you add this if you are using the coupon discount value filters above.
Coupon Discount Applicable On - This will send the email only for either cart discounts or free shipping discounts.

The restrictions vary depending on which event you have chosen thus giving you greater flexibility and control over sending mails.

Delete an email



Go to Emails Page.

Switch to Send Emails tab.

Click on the email that you want to delete.

Here, click on the Delete button at the top right area of this page and confirm the action.
