Integrating Nector with WebEngage



Integrating Nector with WebEngage allows you to send real-time customer events—such as wallet rewards, referrals, reviews, and more—into WebEngage for automated email, SMS, and WhatsApp journeys.
This guide walks you through setting up the integration, configuring your keys, and activating event-based automation that enhances customer engagement.


Step 1 - Open Integrations

Begin by navigating to the Integrations section on the Nector dashboard. From here, click Email Marketing.




Step 2 - Select WebEngage

Click on Configure under WebEngage to start the setup process.




Step 3 - Choose Required Fields

You will now be prompted to choose:

• A common property

• License code

• Private key

• Server prefix

Select Email as the common property.




Step 4 - Find Credentials in WebEngage

Next, go to your WebEngage account and navigate to the Data Platforms section to locate the required keys.




Step 5 - Access Integrations

Inside the Data Platforms section, open the Integration tab.




Step 6 - Open REST API Panel

Click on REST API to view integration settings.




Step 7 - Retrieve Your License Code

Click VIEW to reveal your WebEngage license code. Copy it and paste it into the Nector configuration.




Step 8 - Find API Key

Locate the API key section under REST API.




Step 9 - Copy the API Key

Copy your API key and enter it into the Nector dashboard.




Step 10 - Set Server Prefix & Initialize

Choose the correct server prefix:

• api for global

• api.india for India

Click Initialize.

💡 Tip: Ensure you select the correct region to avoid connection issues.




Step 11 - Confirm Integration Success

A confirmation popup will appear once WebEngage is successfully connected.




Step 12 - Select Events to Send

Choose which customer events you want to sync with WebEngage—such as wallet points rewarded.




Step 13 - Send Event to WebEngage

Click to send the selected event. It will become available as a trigger in WebEngage.




Step 14 - Build Journeys in WebEngage

Go to the Journey section in WebEngage to begin creating automated flows.




Step 15 - View Incoming Events

All events sent from Nector will now appear under your event list in WebEngage.




Step 16 - Select Your Event Trigger

Choose the specific Nector event you want to use as the trigger for your journey.




Step 17 - Verify Event Sync

You’ll now see events like wallet reward creation as valid triggers inside WebEngage.




Step 18 - Save the Journey Trigger

Save your trigger configuration to activate it.




Step 19 - Add Customer Actions

Add follow-up actions such as:

• Email

• WhatsApp

• SMS

• Push notifications

• Segmentation updates




Step 20 - Complete Setup

This concludes your setup on both Nector and WebEngage.




Step 21 - Final Confirmation

Your integration is now live, and event-driven communication is enabled. 🎉
