Integration with Shopify POS for Loyalty Reward Redemption




Integrating Shopify POS with nector’s loyalty system enables customers to seamlessly redeem their loyalty coins during in-store purchases.

With this setup, your staff can quickly look up customers, view their loyalty balance, apply eligible rewards, and offer instant discounts—creating a smooth omnichannel loyalty experience.

This guide walks you through enabling the integration, configuring POS redemption rules, and applying them directly inside Shopify POS.


Step 1 - Open the POS Integration Menu

From the left-hand dashboard menu:

• Navigate to Integration

• Select POS




Step 2 - Locate Shopify POS Integration

Inside the POS section, you’ll see Shopify POS listed as an available integration option.




Step 3 - Enable Shopify POS

Click Configure.

You will notice the status is currently Disabled.

• Click Enable to activate POS loyalty functionality.

💡 Once enabled, nector can process loyalty redemptions through Shopify POS.




Step 4 - Configure Redemption Rules for POS

Now that POS is enabled, set up the redemption rule that determines how customers can redeem their loyalty coins at checkout.





Step 5 - Match Your Existing Redemption Logic

Just like your regular online redemption rule:

• Apply the same structure and logic for POS.




Step 6 - Proceed With the Same Redemption Setup

Continue with the rule setup exactly as done previously.




Step 7 - Define Conversion & Limits

Set the following values:

• 1 coin = 1 rupee

• Maximum discount = 200 rupees

This ensures a consistent redemption experience across all sales channels.




Step 8 - Create the Redemption Rule

Finalize your configuration by clicking Create.

Your POS redemption rule is now active.




Step 9 - Access Shopify POS

Open your Shopify POS app to demonstrate and use the redemption feature.




Step 10 - Log In and Add a POS Tile

On the POS home screen:

• Click Add Tile

• Follow the prompt to continue




Step 11 - Add nector’s POS Extension

Navigate to:

• Apps → nector Loyalty

• Add Customer Reward POS UI extension

• Click Save




Step 12 - Start a New Order

Add the customer's desired product to the cart.




Step 13 - Add the Customer to the Cart

Search for the customer (e.g. Test) and select them so their loyalty profile is linked to the cart.




Step 14 - View and Apply Customer Rewards

Return to the POS home screen where you'll now see:

• The customer’s coin balance

• The available redemption option

In this example, the "Test" customer has 10 points, allowing a ₹10 discount.

Click Get 10 Rupees Off.




Step 15 - Apply or Cancel the Discount

After clicking, the discount is automatically applied to the order.

• You may cancel and reapply if needed

• View the applied ₹10 discount in the cart summary

This demonstrates how loyalty redemption works in Shopify POS.
