Integrating Klaviyo with Nector

Introduction

Klaviyo is a powerful email marketing and automation platform. Integrating it with Nector allows you to trigger personalized flows—such as wallet point rewards, referrals, VIP upgrades, and more—directly based on customer activity in Nector.

With this integration, your brand can build smarter campaigns, automate real-time messaging, and boost customer engagement effortlessly.

This guide walks you step-by-step through setting up Klaviyo in Nector, generating your API key, and creating automated journeys using Nector event triggers.

Step 1 - Open Integrations

In the Nector Dashboard, navigate to Integrations → then click Email Marketing.

Step 2 - Select Klaviyo

At the top of the Email Marketing section, locate Klaviyo.

Step 3 - Begin Configuration

Click Configure.

You will be asked to:

• Select a common property

• Enter your private API key

Step 4 - Choose Common Property

Select a property that is shared between Nector and Klaviyo—typically email address.

To get the private API key, log into your Klaviyo account.

Step 5 - Proceed to Klaviyo Settings

In Klaviyo, navigate to Settings to continue setup.

Step 6 - Find API Keys

Inside Settings, locate the API Keys section.

Step 7 - Access the API Key Page

Click to open the API Key section.

Step 8 - Generate a New Private API Key

Click Create Private API Key.

Step 9 - Name the API Key

Assign an optional name for your new key.

Step 10 - Set Permissions

Ensure the key has Full Access permissions.

Step 11 - Finalize API Key Creation

Once details are set, click Create.

Step 12 - Copy the API Key Back to Nector

Copy your new API key → return to Nector → paste the key into the required field.

Step 13 - Initialize the Integration

Click Initialize to launch the integration process.

Step 14 - Confirmation

A success pop-up will appear confirming the Klaviyo integration is active.

Step 15 - Define Events to Send to Klaviyo

Choose the events you want to sync—for example:

• Wallet Points Rewarded

• Tier Upgrade

• Referral Completed

• Birthday Reward

Step 16 - Create an Event

Select an event such as Wallet Points Rewarded and send it to Klaviyo.

Step 17 - Event Activated

Once you click Create Event, Nector will begin sending this event to Klaviyo.

Step 18 - Build a Klaviyo Journey

Go back to Klaviyo → open Flows → click Create Flow.

Step 19 - Create a Custom Flow

Select Build Your Own, name the flow, and proceed.

Step 20 - Choose a Trigger

You will be asked to pick a trigger for your new flow.

Step 21 - Select Your Nector Event

Under Metrics, select the trigger you just created in Nector—e.g., wallet_points_rewarded.

Step 22 - Configure the Automation Journey

Use Klaviyo’s builder to design your customer journey with:

• Emails

• Delays

• Conditions

• Splits

• SMS (if configured)

Click Save when done.

Step 23 - Completed Integration

You have now fully set up:

• Nector → Klaviyo event syncing

• Custom automation triggers

• Personalized emails and flows

Your marketing automation is now smarter, faster, and customer-driven.
