Nector and Bik Integration
**Nector and Bik Platform Integration for WhatsApp Marketing **
This document explains how to integrate the Nector platform with the Bik platform so that all marketing communications related to loyalty, referrals, and reviews can be sent to customers via WhatsApp, and how to configure events and flows to trigger these messages.
Step 1: Open the Integrations Section in Nector
From the Nector dashboard, navigate to the Integrations section using the left-hand menu.
Within Integrations, click on WhatsApp Marketing.
Under WhatsApp Marketing, locate the Bik integration tile and click on Configure.

Step 2: Enter Required Bik Platform Credentials in Nector
On the Bik configuration screen in Nector, you will see four fields that must be filled.

- Mobile Number – This is the unique identifier Nector will use to identify each customer.

- App ID
- App Key
- App Secret
The last three values (App ID, App Key, App Secret) need to be fetched from the Bik platform.

Step 3: Retrieve App ID, App Key, and App Secret from Bik
Log in to your Bik platform dashboard and go to the Settings tab.

Within Settings, navigate to Developer Tools.

In Developer Tools, you will find the App ID, App Key, and App Secret listed.

Copy each of these values and paste them into the corresponding fields in the Nector dashboard.

After filling in all four properties (Mobile Number, App ID, App Key, App Secret), you will be ready to complete the integration.

Step 4: Initialize the Nector–Bik Integration
Paste the App Secret value into the appropriate field.

Then paste the API Key/App Key into its field.

After adding all these details,

click on Initialize to activate the integration.

Once initialization is complete, a success message will appear indicating that the integration is in place. You can now proceed to create events that will be sent from Nector to Bik.

Step 5: Define an Event in Nector to Send to Bik
Create an event in Nector representing the action you want to notify via WhatsApp.

For example, you might create an event for wallet points rewarded within a particular journey.

Once the event is set up, you will need to map the Flow ID from Bik into the Nector dashboard so that Nector can send triggers to the correct flow.

Step 6: Create a Flow (Journey) in Bik
In the Bik platform, go to the Journeys section to create a flow that will receive triggers from Nector.

Create a new (dummy) flow to demonstrate or configure the integration.

Set up this dummy flow by defining a trigger (optional for this example) and adding a WhatsApp template action. Name the flow appropriately, e.g., Test Test.

After configuring the flow, click on Save.

Your journey will now appear in the Journeys list.

Return to the Journey section and locate the test flow you just created.Click on that test flow; in the URL, you will find the Flow ID just before the word “whatsapp.”

Copy this Flow ID and paste it into the corresponding field in the Nector event configuration.
Step 7: Map Nector Properties to Bik Template Variables
In Nector, select which Nector properties you want to use in your Bik WhatsApp template.

For example, if your WhatsApp flow template includes variables for customer name and coin balance:

you can map:
• username to the customer name variable,

• user balance (or equivalent field) to the coin balance variable.

This mapping allows Nector to send dynamic values for each customer into the Bik automation flow.
Step 8: Create the Event and Monitor Performance
After configuring the Flow ID and property mappings, click on Create in Nector to finalize the event.
The event will now appear in your Nector events list, and you can monitor statistics such as how many events have been sent and how many have bounced.

The Nector and Bik integration is now fully configured for WhatsApp marketing communications.
