Redemption Rules In Detail
In this article we will show you what are the advanced redemption rules are and how you can use them for your benefits. Go to the offer for which you want to modify the redemption rules. In this example we will be explaining with the defined redemption rule that is created while setting up Nector.

In this image we can see an offer where we are giving ₹10 off for every 100 coins. To modify it, click on that particular offer.

As you can see the Discount Type is set to Increment of Points which means the customer can get ₹10 off depending on the points they have. For example, if they redeem 500 coins they will get ₹50 off.
Next we have the Minimum Coins Required section, this denotes the number of coins required to redeem this discount. Here, we have specified it as 100. Since this is an "increments of points" discount, the 100 coins acts as a base value to get the base discount of ₹10. If the customer has more coins, for example, 500 coins, they will be able to get ₹50 off.

As here we have chosen the Discount Type as Increment of Points, we also have the Maximum Discount Amount and Minimum Discount Amount set, the way it works is it restricts the discount to be redeemed only upto a certain limit. In the above image the maximum amount is set as 200 so it means at max the customer can redeem 2000 coins on this offer to get a ₹200 discount. The minimum amount the customer has to compulsorily spend is 100 coins to redeem this offer.
If the Discount Type is set to Fixed Discount then it means that the customer will get a fixed ₹10 off for 100 coins and it cannot be increased.

Next we have the Coins Required section, this denotes the number of coins required to redeem this discount. Here, we have specified it as 100. Since this is an "fixed discount" discount, the 100 coins acts as a base value to get the base discount of ₹10. Even if the customer has more coins, for example, 500 coins, they will not be able to get more off as it not like Increment of Points

Also those extra categories are not available in Fixed Discount. The Maximum Discount Amount and Minimum Discount Amount is combined into one Discount Amount as there as is no provision for increasing or decreasing the discount amount value.

Finally we have the Restrictions section, this is completely optional, here you can add a minimum cart amount for the offer to be valid and any cart with value below it would not be considered. Here we set the Minimum cart amount to 500, so it means the customer should have a minimum of ₹500 worth of items in the cart, to be able to redeem the offer.
